DHP-AX – a flexible heat pump with a maximum of efficiency
 
To meet growing demand on the European market, Danfoss Heat Pumps is launching a new type of air/water heat pump. DHP-AX can be connected to existing heating systems or be expanded to provide a complete heating solution. In other words it is a flexible heat pump that can provide both heating and hot water, and the customer gains a maximum of efficiency at a minimum of cost. 
 
 
 
 
 
DHP-AX comprises a base unit that includes heat pump functionality. The base unit can be combined with a specially adapted indoor kit creating a complete heating solution that provides both heating and hot water. It can also be connected with an existing heating system or parts of such a system, such as a hot water boiler.

“We have developed this product to meet increased demand on the European market for small, silent and effective air/water heat pumps. DHP-AX is full of technical innovations and we strongly believe it will meet the requirements of a target audience looking for an affordable and reliable heating solution. The flexibility of the heat pump combined with a favourable price and high performance, means the end-user gets value for money,” says Lars Bergen, Marketing Director at Danfoss Heat Pumps.

The product has been developed at Danfoss research and development centre in Sweden. DHP-AX is available in four power outputs (6, 8, 10 and 12 kW) and is being launched all over Europe.

“We see very exciting possibilities for this product. Not least considering the new RES directive adopted by the European parliament, which classifies heat pumps as a renewable source of energy. Combined with the fact that Europe must increase the share of energy produced by renewable sources up to 2020 this opens up major opportunities for the future,” says Lars Bergen.
